ALTMAN LAW GROUP LLC
Charles Altman is an attorney with
over 35 years legal and business experience in real estate lending and the
negotiation and closing of billions of dollars of mortgage loans.
Altman Law Group LLC, was formed in 2004, to provide
borrowers with the same level of industry expertise as major firms that act as
lender counsel in CMBS matters. Over the
years, it has represented numerous borrowers in new origination, workouts, and assumptions.
Altman Law Group LLC has handled complex multi-state matters by using highly experienced
Of-counsel attorneys in other jurisdictions. ALG has also provided legal consulting services to major lenders such as
UBS, and major law firms, such as Greenberg Traurig.
Mr. Altman has been an Adjunct
Assistant Professor at the N.Y.U. Schack Real Estate Institute since
2008. He teaches real estate law and development in the Masters
Program. Mr. Altman has also been a visiting Adjunct Professor at the
Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture.
Charles Altman is active in the New
York City Bar Association and serves on the executive committee of the Real
Estate Transactions Section of the American Association of Law Schools.
He is Chair of: "Best Practices - Teaching Real Estate Securitization in
Law Schools", a joint program of AALS and the Structured Finance Committee
of the NYC Bar Association.
Mr. Altman holds a J. D. from N.Y.U.
School of Law and is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony
Brook with a B.A. in Economics.
